Light up my day #1
Happy Monday friends!! So for Christmas My grandma got me a calender.
"An Inspirational Dayspring Daybrightener!" Its a little calender and for everyday of the year it has inspirational words from the man above..God!!
So I've decided that im going to post some of the wise words for you all periodically. I'm not one to push religion on anyone but i just thought since it helps me get through the day sometimes that maybe it would help some of you as well.

Its really small and it stands up and you just flip to the next page like a handy dandy notebook.
(Nick and Nellie actually think its a "handy dandy notebook" so They decided to write a "CLUE" in it!)
Those darn munchkins! :)
So here are today's inspiring words:
"ITS ALL RIGHT TO BE HUMAN. When your mind wanders while you are praying, don't be surprised or upset. Simply return your attention to Me. Share a secret smile with Me, knowing that I understand. Rejoice in My love for you, which has no limits or conditions. Whisper My name in Loving contentment, assured that I will never leave you or forsake you. Intersperse these peaceful interludes abundantly throughout your day. This practice will enable you you to attain a quiet and gentle spirit which is pleasing to Me."
"As you live in close contact with Me, the light of my presence filters through you to bless others. Your weakness and woundedness are the openings through which the light of the knowledge of My Glory shines forth. My strength and power show themselves most effective in your weakness."
Deuteronomy 31:6; 1 Peter 3:4; 2 Corinthians 4:6-7; 2 Corinthians 12:9 (AMP)
Hope you all enjoy your Monday!
Until next time,

Lets play catch up... Ready GO!
Hello all! I've been M.I.A. this is going to be a long one, so i can get you all caught up on whats been going on.... bear with me friends. :)
First and foremost I have not been too much into anything... Before I wasn't feeling very well, and I never go to the doctor! So I decided that I should make myself an appt. and get a FULL checkup. I explained to them how I was feeling they sent me to get blood work done... tests results came back and I was told I have a Thyroid problem and have a vitamin D deficiency. Since then I've had numerous Anxiety/Panic attacks to where I thought I was going to die. If you've ever had an attack you know I am not exaggerating. It sucks. They were just coming out of nowhere. My doctor thinks I'm crazy.. hence the fact that when I told them about the anxiety attacks he said "Ohhh you have the flu!" I'm immediately thinking to myself "This man is Nuts and I'm switching doctors" I'm not a doctor but I do know that the symptoms of an anxiety attack have no relationship with the Flu. Blasphemy So I'm in the process of looking for a doctor now. On top of that me and the kids were all passing Colds back and forth with one another, I had strep throat twice in one month. arghh Its been a rough one.
OK enough of that. Happy new year BTW. and I'm going to catch you up on the past month.
Bring on the pictures :)
She Got this pretty doll for her birthday! Her name is 'Nahji' she's from India. she loved her.
We had Nick and Nellie think that they had no more gifts, Nick said "I'm grumpy because i asked Santa for a bike and i didn't get one!" Yah kind of bratty of him to say but little did he know we had it we just kept them upstairs....my mom surprised them both with them....

Now we are working on teaching them to ride them. :)
After gift wrapping i got them all cleaned up.. they look pretty dapper if i do say so my self :)
(p.s she DID NOT want to put this dress on.. i had to bribe her into it {bad mama} i know.. but only for picture purposes) and She didn't want to stand next to her brother either... check out her face
OK done!!
See told you it was a long post. Happy new years guys.
Hope you all enjoyed your holidays with your friends and family.
Be back SOON!

Nellie Turned 3!!!!
She Got this pretty doll for her birthday! Her name is 'Nahji' she's from India. she loved her.
She even slept with her while "camping out" in the living room with auntie and brother....a few days later Nahji was found behind the bed. LOL
CHRISTMAS CAME...
Christmas came and we made our first Gingerbread house. My sister Paris, Nellie, and Nick look so excited don't they??
I let the kids decorate. P.s. I did the walkway :) Looks pretty good for our first one eh?
We opened presents on Christmas morning via Oovoo video chat with my sister and nieces. She moved to Virginia last year. Its their 1st Christmas away from us so she couldn't miss it <3We had Nick and Nellie think that they had no more gifts, Nick said "I'm grumpy because i asked Santa for a bike and i didn't get one!" Yah kind of bratty of him to say but little did he know we had it we just kept them upstairs....my mom surprised them both with them....

OH YEA. I SEWED NELLIE'S CHRISTMAS DRESS!
The bodice is made of a soft cotton that has a silky shimmer to it, the belt is taffeta, the skirt part is Velvet.
The hair bow was actually a bow tie for Nick but he didn't want to wear it he wanted to wear his clip on tie.
Here's a view of the back. I was going to put something on the front of the belt, but figured since the back has a bow I shouldn't.
I had to work Christmas Day so i was a little bummed that i missed dinner with all my family, when i came home or my lunch break they were all leaving :(
But at least i got to spend the morning with my kids and be there when they opened gifts.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I spent NYE with my mommy and some friends at a party, very small very mature, FUN! I look like a giant next to her in my sky high heels. lol
\OK done!!

Colorful pieces
Haven't been doing much sewing lately (hence the lack of blog posts), but i did manage to squeeze in this dress and jumper.
with this dress i just wanted something colorful and fun, I cut strips of fabric and sewed them together. I think it came out good. i still have to hem the bottom but i just wanted to take pics. :)
The back has little pleats and then a black zipper to keep it snug. I usually don't do strapless because i hate when it slides down and flashing the whole neighborhood.... hmm not my thing. lol
I also made this jumper. I found this fabric at 'Angel View' Its a 2nd hand store kind of like A Goodwill. I LOVE that store i find all kinds of goodies in there regularly. There was about 3 yards of fabric and it was $2.99. I think the tag said it was Rayon fabric... Score right??!
I have been wanting to try my hand at making wide leg pants. and i also wanted a jumper. so why not combine it? So this is my first try at it and i think i did pretty good. the pants legs are a little long because i want the shoe covered when i wear heels with them. :) I had to make darts in the waist area because its a little big.
I get so excited when i make things i just want to share with everyone.
yayyy meeee!! :)
Enjoy!

Sit back and reflect on this amazing beauty :)

Gobble Gobble and Cake Pops :)
Thanksgiving was kind of an emotional thing for me this year. I am the youngest of 3 kids. My older brother (the middle child) passed away 5 years ago. My older sister moved to the east coast to start her life with her fiance. So Its just me and my mom, my mom had to work so I was at home alone cooking with the kids, and as soon as my mom walked in the door I had to leave to go to work. Holidays aren't the same without the WHOLE Family together, so I was a little depressed.... and I was at work which didn't help.
Yea yea I know I'm complaining about how depressed I was on a holiday that I'm supposed to be thankful right?! Well wrong... Im thankful for everything I have Had, everything I Have And everything that I am going to receive, just as well as everything I've given. But holidays should be spent with your family and mine wasn't. :(
BUT We made the best of it and on my 45 minute lunch break I drove home to eat dinner with my mom and my kids. :)
On a lighter note earlier that day i promised Nellie and Nick I would make Cake pops for them. So i did. Mind you I have never made them before...I do not own any cake pop pans either so this was a task.

Nellie is my little helper, she wants to help with everything, so i let her mix the cake mix. :)
This is how they turned out, a little on the lumpy side LOL but its good for my first try. The whole decorating part was interesting. I didnt have a wide variety of sprinkles and I did not want to go the store (on Thanksgiving??...no thanks, Ill save my self the headache)
The important part... The kids liked them.
He says that's his best friend, and he couldn't wait to eat his "friend" hehe
I can always find a positive out of a negative when it comes to those little faces. I'm grateful that I've been blessed with such amazing children. And to be able to spend these moments with them while they are still young and so curious....
Don't just be Thankful On thanksgiving..be Thankful everyday! <3
How was your thanksgiving??
Until next time...

While Big brother is at School... take 1
My 2 year old Nellie is such a character. While her Big brother is at preschool me and her just hang out, she helps me cook breakfast, clean ...i think shes going on 25 instead of 3. I love that she is my little helper, i guess I better enjoy it while she is young, because when she gets older it'll be so horrible for her to do any of those things (teenagers) lol
Anywhoo i walked into my room and found her in my closet. She Loves to play in my shoes, First i saw her looking through the hats, then she chose the boots, its interesting that she chose the boots instead of my stilettos because she usually grabs those first.
She is such a crack up, She likes to dress herself, and i like seeing what she puts together. I asked her if i could take a picture and she started striking all these poses. :)

Funny thing is she used to highly dislike taking pictures... you couldn't tell now.
I know if she could reach my clothes in my closet, she would be playing in those too :)
Yep im convinced she's going on 25. lol
My independent little princess.
Do your children play in your wardrobe?
Happy monday!
